A lamb attacking a lamb or a wolf attacking a wolf is the gravest of sins. The player who attempted to kill the other will turn to stone and be eliminated from the game. This is known as a “Bad Guess” or “Betrayal”.
For instance, if you're a lamb and you attack someone thinking they're a wolf, but it turns out they're a lamb, you're the one who gets eliminated from the game.
Suppose you are attacked by an ally and reflexively fight back, killing them instead. Normally, killing a comrade would result in you turning to stone and being eliminated, but in the case of self-defense, the penalty is waived. This is known as a retaliation kill.
